Day 5 - Check-In Day the First!

That's right, it's Sunday already and time for you to let me know how you're going!

I hope you've all had productive weekends - or at least, like me, semi productive. ^_^

At the moment I'm behind in my goal - my daily wordcounts just haven't been up to scratch. But that's okay, we've got a long way to go and I'm sure I'll catch up!

The sprints on Twitter (#50K30Days and #50Kin30Days) and on the RWA chat rooms have been doing really well. They are wonderful for fast wordcount boosts and meeting new people.

Diane put up a wonderful resource on the Google Group to keep an ongoing track of your writing statistics over the month - you can download it here. Check out the other great resources on the site while you're there - I think I've downloaded about 10 different tools now.

I look forward to hearing from you all! To report your word count to date, just send me an email or put it in the comments below.

P.S - There was a Day 4 in between 3 and 5?!? Drat.

Very productive day today - discipline is everything! Total count for the week 10,131 words.

Incredible to think I am 1/5th through a book I never thought I could write!

Thanks to all for encouragement and inspiration provided through posts

Congrats to everyone on their progress :) may this coming week bring more fabulous words. I'm at 10830, a little behind where I wanted, but a good start.

And 1/5 of the way through the book...?? I wish! A pox on all you category writers :) I'm only 1/9 or thereabouts...

Well done everyone else out there sprinting to get the words done.

I managed 6870 words (if you don't count the blog I wrote for Tote Bags n' Blogs that went up today). My electronic diary went ping two days ago so that was a panicky thing getting it done in time.

Great encouragement reading everyone else's comments about their own progress.

Off to a slow start with 3200 words this week but hopefully the coming week will see an improvement. Must just add that Nikki Logan's Guest Post was very helpful and heartening.
Good luck to everyone participating over the next seven days

3795 for me - slightly behind where I wanted to be, but I'm pacing myself :)

I wouldn't be anywhere near that if it wasn't for the sprints in the chat room though! They are amazing for getting words out - if anyone is hesitant about joining us, don't be shy!!

Sunday night and I ventured into the sprint room. Thanks, Larissa, for throwing down the gauntlet and getting me into my first ever sprint. I'm addicted! My total is 6631 - fantastic start. I won't be adding much this week though; all my writing will be comments to/about my students!

Just logged in today but claiming progress to date, 12687 words. Loving this process, everyone so inspiring, Nikki's blog like a personal coaching session and I love the Fight Club analogy. Good luck everyone, this is so exciting!

Hi All, great going so far for your first week of 50/30. ANy words are better than none, or so I'm telling myself. My word count for the week is 2250. I will need to pick up the pace over the coming weeks.
